Children's Mental Health Week
Children's Mental Health Week 3rd February - 9th February 2020. Children's Mental Health Week began with a whole school assembly discussing the importance of children acknowledging their worries and then being able to talk about them. Throughout the day, children in Years 1 -6 took part in creative workshops that sparked questions and curiosity about mental health and how it can affect their everyday wellbeing.
On Tuesday children in Years 3 - 6 got to take part in Rollapaluza - static bikes. Children were encouraged to race over a 250m distance to a backdrop of music and an MC. At the end of the workshop children were able to ride a static juice bike and make their own banana or apple juice. This highlighted the importance of keeping fit and the positive impact that it can have on children's wellbeing.
